1. Air radiation level check
As a result of the recent accident at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant of Tokyo Electric Power Company, the air radiation level check at the fixed point in Minato ward (approximately 229 km away from Fukushima) where our hotel is located is performed every week.
It appears that based on the radiation level measured, it does not harm the human body and does not affect regular daily activities.(*)
2. Food’s radiation level check
Regarding purchase of fresh food, each local government checks the pollution status of radioactive materials regularly under the supervision of Japanese government. Therefore, it is highly unlikely that radiation-contaminated products go on the market. Our hotel does not purchase products directly from the areas with contamination concerns, but through the market. We also perform our own radiation level check of the surface upon delivery of products and give extra consideration to safety.
